Woodchurch One Stop Shop is an Alcohol Service based on the Woodchurch estate for Woodchurch residents.
It’s a signposting agency dealing with the aftercare of people with an alcohol problem, helping them to remain stable and access training in order to return to the labour market. Residents can refer themselves and can also be referred to appropriate agencies if the resident is still drinking.
The One-Stop-Shop also gives advice and support to the families who are affected by a loved one’s drinking.
The co-ordinator is Gary Parker who is very familiar with the estate having spent his life in and around the area.
The service is based in the Leisure Centre on Carrbridge Road but soon moving to Hoole Road.
Three outreach surgeries run at the Methodist Church at Pemberton Road on Wednesday 1-3, Holycross Church Thursday 11-1 and the Community Centre Friday 10-2.
There are also 3 Fixers placed out there on Tuesday, Wed and Friday.
