The Fixers programme is aimed at the Intermediate Labour Market (ILM). The programme trains long-term unemployed people to fill gaps in the labour market for qualified community drug workers. Since its inception in Liverpool,1998 it has expanded into the greater Merseyside area including St Helen’s, Wirral, Halton and Sefton

Fixers incorporates National Occupational Standards for Drug & Alcohol workers (DANOS) into all of its professional development programmes.

Fixers offer up to 12 months paid full-time work experience, two days training a week, three days working in a relevant work placement, accredited qualifications and support to enter the employee’s chosen career.

If you work with people affected by drug or alcohol use and find it difficult to fill your vacancies with trained staff we can provide you with a Fixers placement to aid you in supporting clients.
