TSP is pleased to announce that the Wirral Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) and the Liverpool Addiction & Offender Health Team have funded TSPs innovative Hope Clubs to help us to continue the excellent work we have done over the last 18 years in helping Merseyside drug and alcohol misusers have access to bespoke employability support. During this time TSP has produced credible and sustained employment opportunities for over 10,000 marginalised groups of job seekers.
TSP, Wirral DAAT and the Liverpool Addiction & Offender Health Team recognise that clients new to recovery from drugs or alcohol often require a more flexible approach in helping them to deal with their social needs and associated health related issues. This, coupled with the provision of specialist employability support, has provided year on year proven job outcome results with sustained recovery and health benefits for individuals, families and the communities in which they live.
TSP was the most successful provider of the DWPs national employability programme for drugs and alcohol misusers, progress2work and progress2work/LinkUp and, enjoyed an average 38% job entry over the nine years of the contracts’ life. This impressive track record, alongside TSPs other experience in delivering employability projects for marginalised groups, was a key factor in our gaining funding support for these new projects.
