Healthwise
Healthwise Training (operates throughout the UK)
TSP added Healthwise to its portfolio of services in 2004 in order to enable us to meet the demands of the specialist training requests we were receiving from partner agencies and staff and to help meet our social aims and to become a self-sustaining social enterprise.
It is a wholly owned subsidiary of TSP and offers a wide range of commercially run training courses in drug, alcohol and sexual health education, along with
personal development training.
They provide various NCFE recognised qualifications as well as bespoke training packages for fellow professionals and for our clients. Courses include all aspects of drug/alcohol awareness, Relapse Prevention, Sexual Health, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Emotional Freedom Techniques, Basic Counselling, mental health awareness courses and GOALS.
Healthwise have a national remit and during 2009/10 delivered training to various PCTs, Social Services, DAATs, Youth & Community Services, Youth Inclusion Projects, Local Councils, the Princes Trust, voluntary organisations, Housing Associations, Service User groups, Education Authorities, Women’s Refuges and Port Authorities.
They also provide Distance Learning courses. Both Trainers, Alex Mitchell and Paula McDowell, are qualified further education teachers and are registered with
the Institute for Learning.
